EXHAUST SYSTEM New
Single
System A two into one specially fabricated for the Subaru engine and
chassis
CHASSIS VW automatic frame standard height but an easy job to lower.
FRONT:
Transverse
torsion bars cross-mounted in the lower tube, so that each individual
torsion bar spans the full width of the car, the upper tube containing
an anti-roll bar which connects both upper trailing links to each
other.
REAR:
Independent
Rear Suspension (IRS) half-shafts, jointed at each end with trailing
arms controlling camber angle changes. This set-up gives much safer and
very manageable handling
Based on a VW Beetle automatic transmission.
This comes with a much improved rear suspension.
Swing axles were
replaced by half-shafts, jointed at each end with trailing arms
controlling camber angle changes and reducing the over steer which was
characteristic of the standard layout.
IRS (Independent rear Suspension)
- Porsche 924 jointly designed by VW and Porsche as a replacement for
the 914, and uses VW IRS rear suspension with a VW engine (up front)
- Porsche 944 evolved from the 924, early years used VW IRS rear
suspension, then when the 944Turbo came in upgraded with alloy arms
that will bolt directly up to a VW IRS car (Beetle, Type 3 etc.)

Same Rolling Diameter as a Type 3 VW -
If you wanted you have enough room to run 295/15's I have these on my
other kit car
However, 275/15 would be preferred
