Gold Coast Chinese Christian Church was established in Aug. 1990 and the Church moved to the present self-owned premises on Government leased land at 3 Byth Street, Arundel QLD from May 2007. Our mission is to evangelise those in the Gold Coast area for our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church has a congregation of more than 250, about ¼ are teens and young adults. Most members are from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asian countries. We provide Sunday worship services in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English languages. The Chinese service mainly targets the adult congregations while the English service, at the present stage of Church development, targets the teens and young adults.
The range of services provided by the Church include but not limited to, cell groups, bible study, Sunday school for children, prayer meetings and disciple training.

General summary of Youth Ministry Pastor Position
The Youth Ministry Pastor (YMP) is mainly to provide spiritual care to the youth congregations aging from about 12 to 30 years old. The major language used is English. The target group of the youth ministry are mainly teens and young adults. These young people mainly consist of two groups:  those who are born and raised in Australia and those who are overseas students studying at universities, mainly coming from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
As a spiritual leader of the Church, the YMP is required to provide motivation, guidance and training to believers in building up the body of Christ. This position requires a high level of personal commitment and a dedication to the evangelical work and advancement of the Youth Ministry. A fluent level of written and spoken English is required with an understanding and appreciation of Australian culture. Ability of verbal communication with Cantonese or Mandarin is a credit. This position is under the supervision of and reports to the Senior Pastor.

Major roles of the position

The main roles of YMP include but not limited to the following:
1. Organise, lead and develop the English Service to the youth congregations.
2. Provide disciple training including Bible study groups, fellowship, discussion groups, event gatherings or other creative programs.
3. Provide pastoral care and support to youth in need.
4. Devise and implement outreach programs.
5. Assist the Senior Pastor if and when required.


Selection Criteria for Youth Ministry Pastor
1. Bachelor degree in theology or Master of Divinity or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
2. Commitment to biblical truth and principles.
3. Demonstrated commitment to Christian youth ministry.
4. Fluency in written and spoken English with understanding of contemporary Australian culture and its implications for young Christians in a cross-cultural setting.
5. Ability to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin is preferred.

Youth Pastor at Maitland Baptist Church

Maitland Baptist Church is a unique Christian presence in the Maitland district. We offer a wide variety of experiences for growth and change. As a church we are committed to the local community. We connect with some 1200 families each week through our children ministries such as Sunday Kid’s Church, Crèche, Play Centre (Monday and Tuesday), Long Day Care Centre (79 Place) and our Before and After School Care (12 Centres). In addition, we minister to around 20 to 30 young people through our youth group program which meets every Friday evening.
Role

Maroubra Baptist Church is a group of people focused on loving God and loving people.  Our youth ministry is a significant part of our work and looks to provide a safe place for young people to gather, have fun, and meet God.
We are looking to hire a part time youth leader who will expand our ministry to impact the youth of Maroubra.  Ideally, such a person has a high work ethic, a passion for serving youth and is prepared to do the practical and spiritual/pastoral requirements to get the job done.

The 2 days a week would include the care and oversight of the current youth group members (high school years 7-12) and volunteer leaders as well as building a connection with youth from the broader community in the Maroubra area. Currently there are about 20-40 students who attend.
